Service Career Fair

The Office of Councilmember Liu is hosting a Service Career Fair aimed at connecting high school students and community-college students with career pathways in public safety and public service. This event will be hosted at Irvine City Hall and will offer an insight into careers such as armed forces, law enforcement, public safety, and nursing.

Policy Pitch Olympiad

The Policy Pitch Olympiad is CM Liu's first youth policy competition, where Irvine and IUSD high school teams pitch solutions on housing, sustainability, and transportation to a panel of judges with the winning ideas potentially developed into a memo for City Council.

This event, hosted by Councilmember Liu, Radiant Futures, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice, featured a discussion on how to recognize the signs of and prevent domestic violence. This event was hosted in both English and Mandarin.

Senior Scam Prevention at The Meadows

Preventing scams is important, especially for our Irvine seniors. In partnership with the Orange County District Attorney's Office and Irvine Police, Councilmember Liu hosted a Scam Prevention workshop for residents at The Meadows, on identifying potential scams and resources available.

E-Bike Town Hall

As e-bikes continue to be a major presence in Irvine, it was important to educate youth and parents on rider safety and the upcoming City ordinance. Lunar New Year at Great Park

Councilmember Liu introduced a memorandum for the City of Irvine to partner with the Asian American History Museum to host the first Citywide Lunar New Year celebration. This well-attended event drew residents and visitors from across Southern California.
